This equally tender as it was jaw-dropping day will forever be a cherished memory as a wedding documentarian. Shannon & Sam wed in September of 2023 at the place where their love story began, Lake Chautaugua. She got ready at her family home, he got ready at the charming Athenaeum Hotel overlooking the water. They said "I-do" surrounded by everyone they love, serenaded by family musicians. We arranged a big group photo with every. single. guest. smiling, waving, cheering. Their newlywed portraits, taken on The Little Red Boat, after a quick private spin around the bay. The porcelain dinner plates, thrifted by Shannon's mother. The signs and invitations, hand-drawn by Shannon who is a talented illustrator. I could go on, it was that impressive and wholesome.
I knew this would be an incredible day from the time they inquired and I am honored to be the one who got to document their day. Because of long-distance, I did not get to meet Shannon or Sam face-to-face until their wedding day! Yet a beat wasn't skipped, I felt so warmly welcomed and the result is a gallery flooded with joy all day long. See for yourself:
